Scritch, scratch, rake, hoe, weed
all that work in the garden,
The daisy just grows.

Oh, yes, "ain't that the truth!" Good observation.
Very true! And long may they continue!
*grin*
I used to complain about having to weed the beans, which I didn't even like, when blackberries grow when you leave them alone. Mom wouldn't go along with my idea of putting the garden to blackberries and not eating beans, though.
very often we don't appreciate the simple stuff enough and waste time chasing unrealistic (hard work) dreams. that's what i got from this.
I have a garden full of blackberries though ;-)
We have beets, corn, potatoes, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, and beans. And they all need to be weeded. But the black-eyed susans at the edge of the garden are doing very well.....
Absolutely the truth. And the comments give me an idea of what I'm lacking in my space: blackberries.
Wonderful sense of actual gardening in the first line -- brings it to life. And I love how "the daisy just grows." Really nice!
