Recipe Haiku:Toddler Snacks

This week's prompt at One Deep Breath is "recipes." Here are the recipes (in haiku form, of course) for three of our favorite afternoon snacks:

Pour sauce into bowl.
Add raisins and nuts to taste.
Applesauce sundae

Boil eggs; cut veggies;
Legs of carrot; beans for arms --
Hard-boiled egg people.

Freeze a banana;
Blend with yogurt and berries.
Nutritious smoothie.

I will be doing these for those who have just shucked off toddlerdom!

That second one is easiest for this food-challenged person to enjoy. The other are too tempting! LOL!

Sounds good to me - your haiku have taste and style!

I like the fun in the first two. The last one, though, sounds really good.

That is exactly why I do this kind of thing. My kids are not picky eaters (they will eat turnips, chard, broccoli....)but I think that is because food is varied and fun in our house. And food is always a social event

Great ideas on having the kids eat healthy. Love the idea of the applesauce sundae.
